Twitter is about to explode in pitches! This will be my first Twitter pitch season, so I'm looking forward to it. If you aren't familiar with #DVPit, it's a Twitter pitch event for people who identify as underrepresented in publishing--whether a minority ethnically, physically, sexually, religiously, racially, etc. I identify, I I am excited to participate~~~

Step 1: Have a Twitter
Step 2: Tweet your 280-character (plus appropriate tags) pitch
Step 3: Repeat every hour during event, up to six times. You may use a different pitch every time.
There are two main genre divisions: Adult and not Adult. Childrens and Teen (Fic/Nonfic) will be April 22. Adult (Fic/Nonfic) will be April 23.
While #RevPit is an event to connect authors and editors, #DVPit is to connect authors and agents! So excited!
One other REALLY important aspect about #DVPit: there will be a practice pitch session for authors to critique each other. This will be held April 9, from 9AM-5PM ET. Use tag #PreDV in order to be seen!

I'll probably be posting some pitch ideas as I go. The last week has been so busy. I have been learning about and getting a handle on all of the thousand moving parts in self-publishing and taking a free (and very good) course on marketing. I haven't given up on this blog or writing, yet--if you were worried from my silence. I just haven't had the time to dig up something interesting to write about. Working on it!
Have a great day!
